Obituary for James Garceau

James Garceau
Clinton-James D. Garceau, 52, passed away peacefully in the comfort of his home while surrounded by his loving family on Friday, October 27, 2017. He is pre-deceased by the love of his life, Yvonne Quinn, who passed away July 10, 2017. He is survived by his father, Donald “Gus” Garceau & wife Charlotte of Lady Lake, FL; siblings, Alan P. Garceau of Florida; Dan Garceau & wife Bonnie of Princeton; and Rick Garceau & wife Laura of Clinton; numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, in-laws, and friends. He is preceded in death by his mother Rita (Morin) Garceau, and grandparents Bernard “Toots” Morin and Jessie Morin.
Jim was born in Marlborough, raised in Berlin, and graduated from the Tahanto Regional High School, Class of 1983. A talented tradesman, he established, owned and operated Jim Garceau Thin Coat Plaster Company for more than 25 years. He was a dedicated family man who was happiest in the company of Yvonne, his family and friends. Jim read, watched, and listened to sports all day, everyday, and was fiercely devoted to the New England Patriots and Boston Red Sox. He was a car enthusiast and proud owner of a 1979 Silver Anniversary Pontiac Trans Am. Jim spread joy and laughter to those he knew and his memory will forever live on. Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, November 1, 2017 from 10AM until 12PM with a Funeral Service to follow at 12PM in the Philbin-Comeau Funeral Home, 176 Water St., Clinton. Burial will be held in Eastwood Cemetery, Lancaster.
