Obituary for Viola Polack (Strzyz)
Clinton-Viola (Strzyz) Polack, 92, passed away peacefully at Clinton Hospital on Thursday, October 5, 2017. She is pre-deceased by her husband Benny T. Polack. She is survived by three sons, David F. Polack, Gerald V. Polack, and Thomas J. Polack, all of Clinton. She leaves her grandchildren, Christopher Polack, Jamie Polack, and Jacqueline Carlisle, all of Clinton; and Thomas Polack of Sterling; several great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and friends. She is pre-deceased by her brothers, Alec, Walter, and Frank Strzyz.
Viola was born in Clinton to the late John & Mary (Olchiewski) Strzyz. She attended local schools and graduated from the Clinton High School. In addition to raising her family, Viola worked for many years with the Van Brode Company before ultimately retiring. She was a woman of great faith and life member of the former Our Lady of Jasna Gora Parish in Clinton. Viola devoted herself to her family and was happiest while in the company of her husband, children, and grandchildren. A graveside service will be celebrated at 10AM on Thursday, October 12, 2017 in St. John’s Cemetery, Lancaster.
